Stitch Meditation, Slow Stitch and Hand Embroidery
Welcome to my Page dedicated to Stitch Meditation, Slow Stitching and Hand Embroidery! I have become fascinated and inspired by the movements of Stitch Meditation and Slow Stitching lately (see photo of Roots of Grace on the HOME page). So I decided that I wanted a place where I could not only share some of the links with others but a place to gather all the links for easy access and future reference. I hope you enjoy the links and that they inspire you as they do me each and every time I view them! Enjoy!
Recycled linens stitched with cotton and wool threads.
Tea dyed cotton, leaf stamping, fabric paint, threads. FUN! Inspired by Linda McLaughlin's WEEKLY LEAF. See below for examples and link.
One day Liz Kettle posted a video on her Facebook Page that said "LEARN ABOUT MY STITCH MEDITATION AND HOW YOU CAN JOIN THE MOVEMENT." I totally fell in love with the idea of stitching with nothing planned out, no finished project in mind and with any materials you wanted to use including old fabric pieces, lace..anything. Watch and see what you think! CLICK on the photo to go to her Vimeo video. Enjoy!
To follow Liz on her STITCH JOURNEY please click on her site logo to the left. It will take you to her BLOG.
If you have this book Fabric Embellishment or even if you don't Liz offer a FREE ONLINE BOOK STUDY here at her site. Click on the photo above. You will need to sign up. It's FREE as far as I know. I am going to try it. Tell me if you do!
