Free motion quilting is not a new idea anymore and whether you choose to use monofilament (invisible thread) or matching thread on your piece the joy of free motion quilting can bring a new passion to your piece. The first thing you need to remember is that practice is so important. The more you practice the easier it becomes. Patience is also very important! Sometimes you get going and all is right and then the next thing your machine is acting up, threads tangle, tension is off and then frustration sets in. That's when you need to step away and take a break. When things are back on track the joy of free motion quilting is all worth it!
