Here is a sample of my newest creation! Teabag Art Fabric cards! See them in my ETSY shop now. How fun are these!
I'm so excited to introduce Silhouette Pattern #10 The Rooster Silhouette! Not only is it fun to make but I tried using something besides a batik fabric and I love it. I used a Kaffe Fassett fun and cheerful fabric and found it to be fantastic! No fraying at all when I used the fusible! This pattern is 16" x 20" approximately and comes with a small and the large template plus complete directions. The quilting and binding is all up to you! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. It is available on Craftsy, ETSY and eBay. See the top of my patterns page for all the links or click on the highlighted text. Instant downloads and hard copies are available. ENJOY!
Well after hours of trying to put this together I decided to offer my Elephant Silhouette in a TEMPLATE only instant download on Craftsy and soon ETSY! Writing a pattern for this collage style is like writing a book so I briefly mention how to on the listing and am letting those that are interested in making either the regular Elephant Silhouette or the Collage style Elephant Silhouette download the template for only $3.00 and use their own imagination and expertise to create something unique. You get the 8 1/2" x 11" and the 4 sheets that make the 16" x 22" version as well! If you already have one of my patterns you won't need all the basic instructions over and over again and this saves you some money! I am working on making the others TEMPLATE only downloads soon! Click on the photo to go directly to the listing on CRAFTSY or visit my home page for links. ( I will be posting a brief HOW TO coming up next! )

NOT what I intended this for! Just wondering...have you ever bought something and then thought OMG this would be great for art instead of what it was intended to be used for! I loved this clothes hook right when I saw it and once I got it home I said OMG I know why I love this..it's a block carving and I can use it in so many ways for art! Rubbings, stamping etc....journaling! How about you? Has this happened to you? Now I want more! I love this!
Ok tried my hand at watercoloring yesterday. Went outside and spied one of my favorite aloe plants and did a quick sketch in pencil then traced it in black pen. Then got to use my school watercolors on it. Inspired by Jane LaFazio's work and videos. Now to watch her class! I think I'm loving this! Thank you Jane LaFazio.
I love fabric collage and have held out showing this but it's almost finished and the pattern will be coming soon. I took my original Sea Turtle Silhouette pattern enlarged it and did it collage style with my own twist. Hope you like it! More soon!
I haven't felt very inspired lately. Not sure if you all feel the same so I decided to make Prayer Flags. Today I finished my first group of Prayer Flags. I thought I'd share them with you. Easy and quick. Paint , fabric and strips of silk from the sari factory floor! Very organic. I'm hoping the wind carries these messages out to our country and the world. The older they get the more time the messages have to sink in. Plus they're bright and cheerful which lifts my soul. Enjoy!
CONFETTI ART QUILT #2. Finished my second confetti art quilt! I call this one A Quiet Walk Through the Woods. 11" x 14" Lots and lots of fabric slivers added to a piece of batting with layers of tulle and more fabric slivers! Maybe someday I'll make one and sell it....hmmm. Enjoy!
(PS I do things besides making patterns! Lots more...:)
