Wrapped Edge Binding! I'm in love with this style of binding and you don't have to stitch it down if you don't want to!!! Susan Carlson explains how she takes scraps and wraps the edge of her pieces with them in her book Serendipity. She uses glue to hold the scraps down on the front and back. I've tried it on one of the samples for my new patterns and love it! See photo above! CLICK on my photo to go to a preview of her book Serendipity on Amazon. See page 46 and the piece named Libris Sol for one of the examples of the wrapped edge binding. Now every time I see one of her pieces I wonder if she used this method. She doesn't use it on all her pieces but I love when she does. The link and info on the wrapped edge binding can always be found on my website under BINDING/FINISHING.
