NOT what I intended this for! Just wondering...have you ever bought something and then thought OMG this would be great for art instead of what it was intended to be used for! I loved this clothes hook right when I saw it and once I got it home I said OMG I know why I love this..it's a block carving and I can use it in so many ways for art! Rubbings, stamping etc....journaling! How about you? Has this happened to you? Now I want more! I love this!
Ok tried my hand at watercoloring yesterday. Went outside and spied one of my favorite aloe plants and did a quick sketch in pencil then traced it in black pen. Then got to use my school watercolors on it. Inspired by Jane LaFazio's work and videos. Now to watch her class! I think I'm loving this! Thank you Jane LaFazio.
I love fabric collage and have held out showing this but it's almost finished and the pattern will be coming soon. I took my original Sea Turtle Silhouette pattern enlarged it and did it collage style with my own twist. Hope you like it! More soon!
I haven't felt very inspired lately. Not sure if you all feel the same so I decided to make Prayer Flags. Today I finished my first group of Prayer Flags. I thought I'd share them with you. Easy and quick. Paint , fabric and strips of silk from the sari factory floor! Very organic. I'm hoping the wind carries these messages out to our country and the world. The older they get the more time the messages have to sink in. Plus they're bright and cheerful which lifts my soul. Enjoy!
