I finally finished the Ammonite Shell Silhouette pattern and I love it. I decided to outline all the pieces with gold metallic thread which was very time consuming but worth it. I think it would look just as great with lots of brown or gold free motion quilting. I am hoping that others try this and share the quilting ideas they come up with! Available on Craftsy in Instant download for only $7.00 and you get the pattern in two sizes. One 8 1/2" x 11" and one for the 14" x 16" finished piece. How fun! Thank you very much Sue for that very cool and inspired design. As an amateur fossil collector (and ammonite collector) I feel that you captured the multicoloured and multi-textured feel of many of the ammonites that I collected over the years. Now its up to my aunt to make it come to "life" in a new quilt! much love, Cor

Hi Cor! I am so happy to hear that you think I captured the ammonite well. I really loved this batik for it right away. Thank you for your notes and also I hope to see what your Aunt does with it! She's a really sweet person....we chatted! Thanks again for contacting me and suggesting I make this! ENJOY!
